A son of the super sire Sumo Cattle Co Michifuku F154 from an outcross, exclusively Westholme bred maternal line, his dam being Westholme K5241. Westholme K5241 is a rare daughter of the Westholme super bull Hiramichi Tsuru, and her pedigree is backed by 001 x 002 x 003 x original import Umeko, who was double bred to Dai 20 Hirashige and is one of the few high Kedaka/Tottori females exported from Japan. Q38 is one of the highest ranked bulls under 50% Tajima, featuring astounding 22.5% Kedaka/Tottori by blood!
Q38 has been performing excellently as a sire with 400 progeny analyzed in 47 different herds! His wide use and recording in the AWA Progeny Test Program and many herds has resulted in high accuracies that inspire confidence in the reliability of this outstanding sire. He is a stand out curve bending sire with the desired low Birth Weight (+1.7 at 95% accuracy) to high growth 200/400 Day Weight EBVs (+17 200D Wt at 96% accuracy)! Hiramichi Tsuru represents outcross breed leading Westholme genetics. Westholme Hiramichi Tsuru hails from the renowned, high Kedaka, Hatsuhi maternal line. He is a Breedplan leader in growth traits, carcass weight, scrotal, milk, and Self Replacing Index among all proven sires. Semen from this bull has sold for thousands of dollars per straw.
The Hatsuhi maternal line is known for its elite growth & maternals while maintaining carcass traits. His semen is hard to find and tightly held, rarely selling.
